A hard-edged crime story about family ties pushed to breaking point.

Released from prison after six long years, Joey Larabito (Tim Roth, Pulp Fiction) doesn't seem the type of guy to have committed murder. His childlike, innocent demeanour contrasts with the cruel realities of his lower-class New York background.

Returning to his childhood home in Staten Island with only forty dollars to his name, Joey hopes to stay with his brother Tommy (James Russo, Public Enemies) a small-time drug dealer, and Tommy's wife Lorraine (Deborah Kara Unger, Silent Hill, Crash) a striptease dancer, until he can get back on his feet. Lorraine is at first reluctant, afraid that a hardened criminal is in their midst. As the weeks go by she slowly warms to Joey's kind nature, but realises that all is not what it seems. As a dark secret comes to light, Joey and Tommy are headed for collision. As the ties of childhood unravel, one brother will fight for the truth, the other for his life.

RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT, A (BLU RAY)

In a place almost untouched by time and in an age still blessed by innocence, a father and his two sons struggle to make sense of their changing relationships. The Reverend Maclean (Tom Skerritt) is head of the family a stern man shaped by hard times in a land still largely wilderness. His sons are Norman (Craig Sheffer), serious and scholarly, and Paul (Brad Pitt), a hothead with a weakness for pretty girls and gambling. They are different but devoted and on the Big Blackfoot River they are in perfect harmony, bound by a passion for fly-fishing - the gentle, sometimes mystical art that slowly comes to symbolise their hopes and fears.

Told against the stunning backdrop of Montana at the turn of the century, A River Runs Through It is as absorbing as it is enchanting an authentic American masterpiece.

THE WHO, THE MODS AND THE QUADROPHENIA CONNECTION

Quadrophenia: the band, the movement, the album, the second wave, the movie all make for a story that needs to be told in depth. DAVID BOWIE: UNDER REVIEW 1976 - 1979: THE BERLIN TRILOGY

By the mid 1970s David Bowie was the biggest pop star in the UK, but his personal life was in turmoil. In a bid to escape the chaos of his drug problems and to flee the media spotlight, he moved to Berlin and started to work on what would become some of the most memorable and critically lauded recordings of his career.

With Low, "Heroes" and Lodger, Bowie stopped moving from persona to persona and settled on being simply himself. He began to blend the music he was hearing in his adopted homeland (Krautrock bands and Kraftwerk) with thrilling and often avant-garde techniques as used by his friend and colleague Brian Eno.

David Bowie Under Review 1976-1979: The Berlin Trilogy features live and studio performances by Bowie, rare interviews and a host of other features, all interspersed with independent review and criticism from a panel of experts. These include former members of key Bowie influences Neu! and Cluster, Dieter Moebius and Michael Rother, style aficionado Paolo Hewitt and music experts Mark Prendergast, David Stubbs and Daryl Easlea, among others.
